This recipe is one of the Indo –Mexican or rather GUJJU-Mexican 🙂 fusion recipe..! Dabeli is one of the very famous Gujarati (kacchi) street food. And Quesadillas are traditional Mexican food. Quesadillas had lot of various fillings, so why not Gujju filling. ;)! Hope you all will love my own creation of this fusion recipe..! Do try at your home and let me know how it turned out..!

Lets jump into recipe..!

So to make dabeli quesadilla, first we need to prepare Dabeli stuffing which is made of potatoes and most important ingredient dry Dabeli masala.

Dabeli Stuffing:

Indgredients:

  • 2- Boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 2tsp – Dabeli Masala
  • 1 tbsp. – tamarind water
  • Oil
  • Salt

Steps:

  1. Heat some oil in a pan.
  2. Add Dabeli masala and cook for a minute
  3. Add boiled potatoes and mix and cook for a minute
  4. Add salt and tamarind water. Cook for another few minutes.
  5. Mix until potato mixture form like a ball.
  6. Dabeli filling in ready!

Now let’s make Dabeli Quesadilla

Ingredients:

  • Dabeli Stuffing
  • Tortillas
  • Finely chopped onion
  • Masala Peanuts ( optional)
  • Mexican blend cheese
  • Meethi Chutney
  • Garlic Chutney

Recipe:

  1. Warm some tortilla on a hot pan
  2. Spread little methi chutney , (abt ½ tsp) on warm tortilla. ( this step is totally optional)
  3. Take about spoonful of dabeli masala and evenly spread on tortilla.
  4. Sprinkle some finely chopped onions, peanuts and Cheese.
  5. Cover it with another tortilla. And cook it on a hot pan.
  6. Cook nicely until crispy, golden brown from both side.
  7. Once cooked, cut it with knife and garnish with some garlic chutney and serve..!
  8. Yummy GUJJU-Mexican fusion recipe “Dabeli Quesadilla” is ready to eat…!!!!!
